Laziness

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile....I've been feeling quite lazy and not in the mood. We are getting ready and are very excited for Christmas! Jace circled EVERYTHING in the Toys R Us book thinking that if it was circled, Santa would bring it. Bracken was a little better at picking the toys that he really wanted. I love Christmas and I think I take after my Mom at trying to make sure the kids are going to be happy so I tend to go OVERBOARD! I don't worry about it much until Christmas morning when I see so many presents and know that there are people out there with not much. We have for the past few years picked a child off a tree and I love doing that. This year we let each of the boys pick one and I liked that Bracken understood and Jace somewhat did. Ben's sister Lisa had a baby girl Londyn Rose last week and after having a few complications decided to let Ariyah come stay with us for a few days. The boys are loving it(including Ben...)and so am I. She's got such a sweet personality and so far has had no problem being without Mom and Dad....I'm not sure if they are doing as well :). I am waiting anxiously for ReNae to have her little one, but the baby seems to have a mind of its own...so we still wait.

I love Chirstmastime....
*the lights
*the trees
*the clutterness of the house because you are trying to stuff everything in
*the little symbols that are to remind us of the TRUE meaning of Christmas
*a white Christmas....looks like we are going to have one this year
*the excitment in my boys' eyes wondering how many more days and if we can just open one present today.
*the fact that Bracken knows we will open one present Christmas Eve and it will be pajamas. :)
*Christmas Music
*Christmas Movies....I think Polar Express is one of my FAVORITE!

If I don't get another post in before....MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I'm hoping to get cards out, but I'm not sure its going to happen :)

FINALLY!

We are finally getting our bags packed and ready to go meet this little sweetheart!

And of course we can't wait to see this little one again!

I really wish my siblings lived just a little bit closer! I guess I'll have to snuggle with ReNae's baby when it gets here to help!

I've noticed a lot of my friends saying five things they are Thankful for, I don't know how well I'll do at 5 every day, so I thought I'd put a few down right now.

*My family....I really don't know where I would be with out them.

*Extended family....I love that I was very close with my cousins. Ben didn't have that growing up and it was really weird to me. Of course, he thinks we are weird that we are so close and try to support eachother in everything.

*A husband who works so hard so I don't have to. I'm so thankful that he has work and is staying busy.

*My boys....Jace has been sneaking candy and hiding under his bed to eat it. I couldn't figure out where the candy was coming from until I heard Bracken yelling at Meeko(the cat). He said that Meeko has been climbing up his costume and knocking his Halloween candy down....hmmm I think the cat is actually Jace. These boys keep me on my toes and laughing a lot of the time. Again, I'm so glad that I get to be the one with them. I'm a little nervous for next year....what am I going to do while BOTH boys are at school?!

*All those that serve our country. I use to not think much of it because I didn't really know anyone that served, but know I'm older and get it....THANKS for the great sacrifices you and your families make for me and mine.

*Great neighbors. I know I don't get out and socialize with them much, but I know if I ever needed anything, they'd help me in a minute.

*I'm especially thankful for the Las Vegas-Idaho Falls flight. Otherwise I'd have to make the drive by myself and worry about the weather....HUGE relief to know I'll just fly straight home.

*Friends, close or far they are there for me and I couldn't ask for more.

Goodbye 20's

So, today I turned 30. For some reason I'm struggling with that and I'm not sure why. Maybe because I use to think that 30 was OLD and now here I am....does that make me old? If 40 has become the new 20, 30 must be the new 10?! That's a little too young for me. In my 30 years I've been through quite a bit and learned more....here are a few

of course learning how to walk and all that fun stuff when you are really little and then getting the opportunity to watch my own children do the same thing.

I know why mom HATED snow days and sometimes sick days

Why parents put their kids to bed while the sun was still up

High School stress is NOTHING!!!

Metabolism slows down....you can't have a diet of smartfood and ice and expect to stay skinny :)

Loosing your first love hurts....but finding your true love is the best! I guess that's why you have to go through hurt and bad things....to know how great the other stuff truly is!

If I truly believe, all will work out!

Sorry, I needed to do that for myself...don't know if this made anyone else think and enjoy where they are today!

So....GOODBYE my 20's HELLO 30's.....I'm bound and determined to make them GREAT!!!!

HaLLoWeeN!!!

Halloween seemed a little off for us this year. Maybe because it was on the weekend, or that the day went really quick, or that Jace had been sick the night before so we weren't sure what to expect. Whatever the reason, we had a great time! The boys don't like to wear masks, so I had to paint their faces. I wish they would pick costumes that didn't have masks, but what can you do? I think I did a pretty good job and the boys were happy, so that's all that really matters! We frosted some cookies that day, and then did our yearly dinner and trick-or-treating with the Planks. Kalli was missing this year....she's 12 and went to a party and trick-or-treating with her friends. We did change things up and hit Grandma Great first instead of last, I think she may have enjoyed that so she didn't have to stay up all night waiting for us. Becky and I enjoyed some Criminal Minds while Ben and Tony took the kids out! We were lucky once again this year and had some pretty nice weather, we didn't have to bundle the kids in snow gear :) Here are some photos....

Jace is saying "Iron Man" and yeah, I don't know what Bracken is doing!

No...they don't like to pose at ALL!

the group...Optimus(anyone remember when Bracken was Optimus and NO ONE had a clue who is was....times have sure changed) Gangster, Clone Trooper, and Iron Man.

The classic front step picture! They are all getting so big!

9 years and still going strong!

And here are some from Jace's preschool party....yes there are only 2 girls in the class with 11 boys!

Notice all the boys are super heros of some sort :)

9 years.......

I love you honey! 9 years...where has the time gone. We've had a good times and bad, but we've stuck it through! I can't wait for anything and everything else that will come our way! I feel so lucky to have Ben for my husband and father of my children. He is one of the hardest workers and does what needs to be done to take care of us, so I can stay home with our boys! That was one of the main things I wanted in a husband, someone who thought it was as important as I did for me to be home with the kids. He has many other great things, but I'm not one that likes to gush all that much, so I'll just say that..... I am so lucky!

Not Much

I realized that it had been awhile since my last post, so here's a new one. Not too much excitement has been going on. Bracken is done with sports for now and Jace is awaiting his turn to start being the athlete instead of the spectator :) A couple weeks ago we had the "Amazing Race" with some people from our neighborhood and had a really great time! I enjoy doing these different activities and love the creativity of those that put in on every year for us. The boys are kind of excited for Halloween, Jace is Ironman and Bracken is a storm tropper. I can't wait for Brian and Jana to have their baby girl, even though I already have neices, this one seems different, is that weird? I just hope I can find a time to get to St. George to see her before she gets too big and before Cobly gets any bigger! I wish it weren't so far away. I've been busy helping Becky get her website up and going so if you get a chance check it out! Any pointers are WELCOME!!! click Trendy Handbags to go to her site. I'm getting excited for the holidays, even though I don't love the cold, I do enjoy everyone hanging at home and not running off as much with their friends. Hope all is well with everyone out there! I'll try to post more often....but no promises! :)
